Community Guidelines
Mischief Dating is for meeting people and dating with respect. These rules apply everywhere: profiles, Nearby, chats, the feed, comments and stories.
Breaking them can lead to removal of content, a strike, or a suspended or permanently removed account.
Be respectful
- No harassment, bullying, threats or intimidation. Don't keep contacting someone who hasn't answered or has asked you to stop.
- No hate speech: no attacks based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability or serious illness.
- Take no for an answer. A pass, an unanswered message or a block is a no. Don't try to reach someone another way.
Be real
- Use your real age and your own, recent photos. Don't impersonate people, brands or organizations.
- One account per person.
- No scams: don't ask for money, gift cards, crypto or investments, and don't promote pyramid schemes.
Keep it safe
- Adults only (18+). We have zero tolerance for anything that sexualizes or endangers minors. It is removed, the account is banned, and it is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and to law enforcement.
- No intimate images shared without consent, and no threats to share them.
- No violence, and no encouraging self-harm. If someone is at risk, contact emergency services. In the US, call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
- Nothing illegal: no selling drugs or weapons, and no soliciting prostitution or sex work.
- Don't share other people's private information: addresses, phone numbers, workplaces, or where someone is right now.
- Only safe links. No links to scams, malware or explicit sites.
Consent, recording and screenshots
- Don't record calls, voice notes, videos or stories without everyone's permission.
- Don't screenshot or share private chats or profiles to embarrass or expose someone. The app may tell the other person when a screenshot is taken.
Nudity and sexual content
- No nudity or sexually explicit content in profiles, photos, videos, the feed, comments or stories. Images are checked automatically, and explicit ones are blocked there.
- One-to-one chats with your matches and friends: adults may share nudity there. It arrives as a private photo or video: blurred, opened only with a tap, and only once. After it's viewed, it's gone for both of you.
- Sending sexual messages or images someone didn't ask for is harassment and can be reported.
- Sharing someone's intimate images anywhere, or threatening to, is an instant ban.
Language
- Cursing isn't allowed in feed posts, comments, bios, prompts or usernames. Blocked posts and comments come with a note.
- Slurs, and curse words aimed at someone, count as harassment.
Spam and selling
- Keep products, services and self-promotion out of the app. No mass messages or link spam.
- Posting limits apply: for example, 3 posts in 10 minutes on the feed.
- No bots or automated accounts.
Strikes and bans
- Confirmed harassment is 1 strike. 3 strikes is a permanent ban. Strikes last 12 months and can be appealed once.
- Instant permanent ban, with no strikes: sexual content involving minors, sharing or threatening to share intimate images, credible threats of violence, posting explicit nudity where others can see it, severe hate, scams or extortion, or being under 18.
- A person reviews every harassment report before a strike is given. Automated tools help sort reports but never decide alone.
Reporting and blocking
Tap Report on any profile, message, post, comment or story, then pick what's involved. Reports are confidential, and we aim to act within 24 hours. Block stops someone from seeing or contacting you right away.
Knowingly false reports give the reporter a strike. Honest reports never do, even if we find no violation. For emergencies, contact local authorities first.
Intimate images shared without your consent: use Profile → Settings → Account & safety → Request removal of intimate images. We remove them within 48 hours of a valid request.
